Twenty votes were cast on the ROCK’s motion concerning dual scorecards. The final tally – 15 in favor of dual scorecards, 5 against. As 20 constitutes a quorum, the change is now official. Beginning today on the hallowed grass of Pelican Pointe each cart will keep score. Once the scores are reconciled, only one card needs to be turned over to Al Liskunas (who is joining us today despite reports of a hiatus). I personally believe the motion was a good idea even if it does produce more labor.

PELICAN POINTE SATURDAY 28 FEBRUARY 2015
Okay, gang – we have a bifurcated tee time arrangement this week. We have three tee times at 8:30 a.m. and three tee times at 9:15 a.m. Pelican’s members are back in force and we couldn’t get six tee times in a row. Which might be cool, because some PDGA members do favor a later tee time. So, when you RSVP, please indicate if you wish to play in the 8:30-8:52 slots or the 9:15-9:29 slots.
DEMOCRACY IN ACTION
A motion put forward by The ROCK – that each foursome (or threesome) keep two scorecards. At the end of 18 holes members will review the scores and attest to their accuracy before submitting one card for the scorekeeper.
Please vote ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ after announcing your intention to play or not play on the 28th.

PRESIDENT'S DAY OUTING
Monday is President’s Day. You self-employed types might be grinding away as usual, but for those who have the day off, a golf outing seems rational, even obligatory. Please RSVP in 24 hours as I will need time to set it up. A simple yea or nay will suffice.
