Okay, gang – This is for next week – we will be at Pelican tomorrow. Don’t confuse these two announcements. The newsletter is on its way. I’m sending this out early for a reason. I won’t be going to work next week. And I am three weeks away from retiring. So you will all be getting a new email address for me and – hang on to your hats – I will have a smart phone you can actually text me like every other human being on the planet who has had this technology for a decade. I need two things from you (1) Confirmation you will be golfing at Bent Tree and (2) Confirmation you will be attending the party. Each member will be asked to contribute ten dollars to cover our expenses. Guests will have to pay full freight. The party starts at 2 p.m. at the Signature Room, Geckos on Clark Road. For the next eight days please send all your communications with the league to Marty Glass (MartyGlass@icloud.Com). Of course you can still reach me at (941.228.5526).

Hello Jay – The new cost plus tax bring the amount close to $60.00. I need to take this to the members for review. I don’t think I have enough time to book your fine venue for this weekend. I will get back to you once I have spoken to the members. We are booked on the 28^th so the earliest time we could visit would be in December. On a personal level I hope the membership is inclined to accept as I enjoy Palm Aire very much.

Good afternoon Mr. Dietz,

I had a chance today to speak with our new general manager and club president. They are both in favor of having you group play at Palm Aire, but there will be just a few changes.

Firstly, there has to be an increase in the rate. The lease expensive rate that I could negotiate for you was the fee that our sports members pay, $54 plus tax which includes the cart. This is trying to be fair to the members that pay sizeable dues year round and still pay these fees.

The second adjustment would be that I would like to set up a schedule with you for the winter months for which days your group will play. There are some weeks where we have member events and would be better off staying away from. I know that the regular play would be every other week, and we can try to keep it as close to that as possible, but have a set of dates in place will keep us all on the same page.

Please let me know if you are interested and we will move forward with booking your times for this weekend.

PELICAN POINTE SATURDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2015 8:52 A.M. - RSVP

The board of directors at Palm Aire has not yet given a green light to our winter participation. We cannot schedule there until approval comes through. I will concentrate on golf courses where I know the greens are in great shape. I would appreciate some scouting by members so we can find out who is in great shape and who is not. On the 28^th we will be at Bent Tree. I played there recently and the greens are in awesome condition. The party is right after the round. Bent Tree has very good shower facilities so PDGA members won’t have to rush home.
